This study assessed outcomes of orthotic treatment of pectus carinatum using a modified Hebal-Malas Index (HMI), calculated with clinical anthropometry. We report results of pectus carinatum treatment with this novel outcome measure that accounts for the size of the patient and has an accessible measurement approach.

Upon completion, participant will be able to describe the difference between the originally described Hebal-Malas Index and the modified version used in this study.
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe the impact of pectus carinatum initial presentation characteristics on treatment outcomes.
Upon completion, participant will be able to characterize what constitutes a large improvement in Hebal-Malas Index during pectus carinatum treatment.
