Rates of prosthetic abandonment, defined as the discontinuation of regular use of a prosthetic device during daily activities even after a period of initial use, are high and are continuing to increase. This project explores prosthetic abandonment and embodiment aiming to enhance prosthetic acceptance through education, advocacy, and psychosocial support.
