While traditional proportional control strategies for upper limb prostheses assume a linear relationship between input EMG and output velocity, not all users have full access to this proportional range. This study aims to assess the effect of non-linear, proportional output filters on the usability of an advanced myoelectric control system.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe the Glide control strategy.
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe several post-processing strategies used to enhance myoelectric control proportionality.
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe an experimental design that evaluates myoelectric proportional control.
