Clinical Assistant and Research Project Manager University of Michigan Orthotics and Prosthetics Center Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States
This is a retrospective study of patients evaluated for pectus carinatum orthotic treatment. We assessed the correlation between clinical anthropometry and 3D scan-derived measurements. Assessment of pectus carinatum deformity using clinical anthropometric measurements demonstrated a strong correlation with and was highly consistent with measurements obtained from 3D scans.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to define clinical anthropometry and describe the benefits of its use.
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the correlation between clinical anthropometric measurements of pectus carinatum and measurements from 3D scans.
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the consistency between clinical anthropometric measurements of pectus carinatum and measurements from 3D scans.
