We developed and validated a marker model specifically for gait analysis in transfemoral amputees in a multicenter approach. The results of the validation and comparison with standard marker models show that only with this specific marker model is the biomechanical analysis of PTFAs precise and enables a correct assessment of the functionality and safety of prosthetic knee joints without fundamental misjudgments.
