Socioenvironmental factors can effect outcomes after dysvascular lower limb amputation. However, most prior research did not examine prosthetic mobility. This study examined the association between area deprivation, income, and both self-reported and performance based mobility outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to understand that the Area Deprivation Index is a tool based on zip code that helps estimate socioeconomic status.
Upon completion, participant will be able to analyze the relationship between ADI and comorbidities in people with dysvascular limb loss and how this correlates with poorer performance on outcome measures such as the Component Timed Up and Go and 2-minute walk test.
Upon completion, participant will be able to recognize characteristics associated with poor performance-based outcome measures.
