The research and reporting involves a multi-year field evaluation of a prototype golf terminal device for multiple individuals with bilateral, trans-radial hand absence.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to appreciate the challenges that persons with bilateral, trans-radial hand absence face in performing high performance activities requiring bimanual control.
Upon completion, participant will be able to better understand the biomechanics, coordination and control required to swing a golf club by persons with bilateral, trans-radial hand absence.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to appreciate the benefits of providing persons with bilateral, trans-radial hand absence with the first standardized, functional prosthetic, terminal device system that allows them to play golf, independently.
