The Transfemoral Certificate Program is a hybrid program designed to enhance prosthetists’ ability to provide comprehensive care for individuals with transfemoral amputations. The course covers a range of transfemoral prosthetic interfaces, key factors affecting alignment, and therapy considerations. It also presents strategies for optimizing these areas to maximize successful outcomes for transfemoral prosthesis users.
The certificate program will consist of seven (7) modules, with five (5) of the modules available presented live at the Annual Meeting. The sessions will be recorded and available in the Academy's O&P Knowledge Central at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting.
The two remaining modules - Subischial Socket Designs and Diagnosing & Fixing Problems with Alignment will be delivered virtually and will be available for purchase.
