Self-compassion and Self-awareness in Orthotics and Prosthetics Learners

This description will be included in Annual Meeting promotional materials if your paper is accepted.: This study explores the constructs of self-compassion (SC) and self-awareness (SA) in O&P students and residents. A convergent mixed methods design was used to assess relative levels and determine the relationship of SC and SA in this sample, and integrated with the lived experiences of O&P learners. Three central themes were generated from the qualitative data which highlighted how O&P learners practice SC during times of stress and experience the impact of SA in their academic or professional performance.
