This description will be included in Annual Meeting promotional materials if your paper is accepted.: This study quantified the posteriorly directed forces (PDF) generated by custom-fit and off-the-shelf functional ACL orthoses in pediatric patients following ACL reconstruction. Using embedded LoadPad sensors, PDF were measured during static knee flexion (0°–90°) and dynamic pivot-shift tests. Both orthosis types exhibited increased forces with greater flexion, with the off-the-shelf brace producing higher static loads and the custom-fit brace showing enhanced dynamic responsiveness. Findings highlight how orthosis design influences load distribution and functional stabilization, providing clinicians with data to guide orthotic selection in pediatric ACL rehabilitation.
