Cody McDonald is a prosthetist orthotist and assistant professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington. Dr. McDonald’s research interests are grounded in her desire to advance social justice and equity in prosthetics and orthotics clinical access, care, and outcomes. Her research interests include qualitative methodologies to center prosthetic and orthotic user experiences, development of outcome measures for individuals with limb loss, education research to improve training for the next generation of clinicians, and global prosthetics and orthotics research to measure and improve prosthetic and orthotic care in underserved areas. Dr. McDonald has a Master of Public Health in global health and a doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Science, both from the University of Washington.
