Saifullah Farrag, MSME, is a mechanical engineering PhD student at the University of South Florida (USF) researching biomechanics and medical devices at USF's Center for Assistive, Rehabilitation and Robotics Technologies Lab (CARRT Lab) under Dr. Stephanie Carey. His research experience includes embedded systems, neuromuscular disorders, and biomechanics in prosthetics. He was previously the vice-president of the USF chapter of ASME, and has designed and build drones and automated manufacturing equipment. After finishing his PhD he hopes to work in medical engineering to help develop better technology that improves the lives of people around the world.
