Beate Flügel is a Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist (CPO) at Heidelberg University Hospital, Department Technical Orthopedics. Her main focus lies in trunk orthotics - particularly in the conservative treatment of patients with idiopathic, neurological and neuromuscular scoliosis. With many years of experience in the orthopedic managment of children and adolescents, she works closely with the interdisciplinary orthopedics team. Her special interest is in the development and clinical adaptation of modern brace designs to achieve the best possible results.
