Björn Altenburg is an engineer and Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist (CPO) at Ottobock’s Research Biomechanics Department in Göttingen, Germany. He has worked in prosthetics and orthotics since 1997 and holds a degree in Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Giessen. His work focuses on lower-limb prosthetics, including scientific studies, patient fittings, and product development. He also leads the prosthetic feet section within Ottobock’s international CPO Expert Network.
