Dr. Leister is an Assistant Professor and Director of the MSOP program at East Tennessee State University. His research focuses on understanding free-living mobility characteristics of O&P users and enhancing the integration of wearable technologies, machine learning, and clinical outcome measures within O&P practice.
Dr. Leister earned a Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Northwestern University, a MS from the University of Houston, and a PhD from Syracuse University.
In addition to his roles as a research scientist, program director, and educator, Dr. Leister has eight years of clinical experience, treating patients for their orthotic and prosthetic needs.
