Dr. Kent's research lies at the intersection of biomechanics and prosthetics, with a primary focus on post amputation rehabilitation. Dr. Kent earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham, UK, and master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Surrey, UK. She is a UK Health and Care Professions Council-registered Clinical Scientist, and worked in civilian and military hospitals in the UK prior to pursuing her PhD in the Department of Biomechanics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She subsequently completed postdoctoral training at Northwestern University Prosthetics Orthotics Center. Dr. Kent joined the UNLV department of Physical Therapy in 2021 as an Assistant Professor.
