Jodi Johnston is a patient advocate, prosthetic user, and respiratory therapist serving veterans. After facing cancer at a young age and undergoing rotationplasty, Jodi began making complex medical decisions as early as twelve years old. Those early experiences shaped her lifelong belief that patients, even young ones, deserve both a voice and a seat at the table.
Over the years, Jodi has navigated additional major health challenges, cultivating resilience, perspective, and a deep reliance on faith. Her personal journey, combined with her clinical work caring for veterans, gives her a unique lens on shared decision-making, patient autonomy, and collaborative care. She is passionate about empowering others to find strength and purpose in life’s most unexpected chapters.
