Clinical Leader of Lower Limb Prosthetic Care Excellence at Hanger Clinic

Wendy specializes in unique or complex prosthetic fittings, vacuum fittings, adult congenital limb difference and bilateral above knee amputations. She began her career in pediatric prosthetics and now works will all ages of LL prosthetic users. Wendy promotes relationship centered care with a focus on mobility goals, proactive care stategies, and celebrating reahab victories frequently with her patients. She believes in educating people with limb loss and limb difference to achieve maximum independence and quality of life. Wendy supports healthy community engagement after limb loss with a specific passion for access to adaptive sports and recreation. She currently acts as the team lead for the So Every BODY Can Move initiative in Utah supporting patient advocay. She is frequently planning community events both locally and at the natiaonal levell such as running clinics and adaptive sporting experiences for people to experience a full and meaningful life. She often partners wtih her husband, a paralympic skier, to educate from both patient and provider perspecitve on topics such as TF alignment, gait traiing, and the value of setting meaningful functtional goals.
