Seth O'Brien, CP, FAAOP(D) (he/him/his)

Seth O'Brien, CP, FAAOP(D), began his career in O&P after losing a leg to cancer at age 24. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona and the prosthetics program at California State University Dominguez Hills.

Seth is the Chief Prosthetist and Residency Director at Wheeler Orthotics & Prosthetics in Phoenix, AZ. He also teaches as adjunct faculty at Baylor University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Currently, Seth serves the Academy as its Vice President and co-chair of the Academy’s Scientific Societies Committee. He is also the host of the Academy's Clinical Care Insiders and Clinical Care Insiders -- Industry Partners Edition podcasts. Outside of work, Seth enjoys traveling with his wife and two boys, coaching baseball, and competing as a para-triathlete.

If reelected to the Academy's board of Directors, Seth hopes to continue streamlining Academy resources and benefits to focus on member value and fiscal responsibility.
