Jessica Townsend is an Orthotic resident at the University of Michigan Orthotics & Prosthetics Center where she is learning and practicing orthotic clinical care and taking part in clinical research. She has a BSc in Physiology & Sports Science at the University of Glasgow in Scotland and then worked as a physical therapy aide in California for 3 years prior to completing the MSOP program at Eastern Michigan University. She completed her Prosthetics residency at the University of Michigan Orthotics & Prosthetics Center and passed her board exams this year to become an ABC certified Prosthetist. She has been a member of the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics (AAOP) since 2022 and presented a poster at the 2023 Annual meeting that won 3rd place.
