Becker Orthopedic
This course provides an in-depth review of mechanical stance control orthoses (SCOs) offered by Becker Orthopedic and Ambroise. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the design principles, functional differences and appropriate clinical indications for each system. Drawing from real world case studies and practitioner feedback, the session will highlight key lessons learned in the prescription, fitting, and follow-up phases of treatment. The course will also address how these devices can be converted to free-motion or locked-knee configurations, offering flexibility in response to changes in patient condition, or therapeutic goals. Emphasis will be placed on patient selection criteria, gait outcomes and strategies to optimize performance and patient satisfaction.
