This study explores self-exploration of gait alterations as a method to help individuals post-stroke who have been prescribed a passive dynamic ankle-foot orthosis acclimate to the device.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to explain the effect of self-exploration gait training on walking outcomes for post-stroke passive dynamic ankle-foot orthosis users.
Upon completion, participants will be able to design future device acclimation protocols for post-stroke passive dynamic ankle-foot orthosis users based on evidence provided from this study.
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand the importance of mechanical cost of transport as an outcome metric assessing the energetics of walking.
