This study compared crawling patterns in infants with limb loss (LL) to their length-matched typically developing (TD) peers. Using pressure-mat and motion data, the analysis focused on relative limb placement and symmetry during crawling. Findings suggest that LL infants may improve crawling symmetry by placing affected limbs more laterally. This could inform early prosthetic guidelines to support more typical crawling mechanics.
