This study examines the relationship between admissions criteria and academic performance in a Master of Prosthetics-Orthotics (MPO) program. Using retrospective data from 130 students (2016–2025), correlations and logistic regression were applied to determine predictors of first-semester academic standing. Findings indicate that while several admission factors demonstrate weak but significant associations with early MPO performance, the GRE Analytical Writing score is the only independent predictor of good standing in the first semester. Results provide insight for MPO program educators and suggest caution regarding the removal of GRE requirements from admissions processes.
