Alternative treatment option for a patient seeking above-knee amputation following failed quadriceps repair - case study. The patient experienced bilateral quadriceps ruptures, and after several reconstructive surgeries, re-ruptures, and infection, the patient's right quadriceps was unable to be repaired. The patient was seeking an elective above-knee amputation to reduce pain and regain function. He was seen for orthotic intervention prior to pursuing amputation.
