This case study presents an alternative contracture management option for a person with a transtibial amputation. The person had developed a wound preventing him from using conservative contracture orthoses leading to a 30 degree knee flexion contracture. The interdisciplinary team decided a combined approach of hamstring tendon lengthening, Botox injection, and serial casting would best reestablish the patient for prosthetic candidacy.
