This poster explores weight bias among orthotics and prosthetics professionals, revealing that implicit attitudes often persist despite neutral explicit beliefs. Drawing on a cross-sectional survey and the Weight Implicit Association Test, responses from 457 students, educators, and clinicians indicate that implicit weight bias in the O&P community closely mirrors that of the general population. These findings highlight the importance of addressing unconscious bias in O&P education and practice, with implications for equitable patient care and improved clinical outcomes.
