David Speers CPO/L is an instructor at the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center (NUPOC). He was in clinical practice for more than 20 years where his focus was on pediatric orthotic care including scoliosis management.
David had the opportunity to train numerous residents as a resident mentor while he was in clinical practice.
Along with being a member of the Academy, ABC and AOPA, David is also a member of SOSORT and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM).
David was awarded the Thranhardt Award in 2018 for his paper titled "Functional Bracing for Treatment of Pediatric Diaphyseal Femoral Fractures: An Alternative to Spica Casting?"
