Sara Morgan, PhD, CPO, is a Senior Research Scientist and Scientific Director of the Spine Research Program at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, MN. Dr. Morgan’s research focuses on clinically-meaningful outcomes related to operative and non-operative treatments for scoliosis, comparative effectiveness of scoliosis treatments, and the development of clinical guidelines to inform evidence-based care.
Dr. Morgan has academic affiliations at the University of Minnesota and the University of Washington. Through these affiliations, she maintains research collaborations focused on outcome measure development and assessment in prosthetic and orthotic care and mentors doctoral students in Rehabilitation Science. She is also an active volunteer in professional organizations, and currently serves as the Research Committee Chair for the Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research and a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics.
