Nerrolyn is a prosthetist/orthotist and professor at Jönköping University, Sweden. She graduated from the National Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics at La Trobe University, Australia, in 1996 and completed her PhD in 2000. Following this, she spent three years teaching in the prosthetics and orthotics program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver, Canada, before joining Jönköping University.
With more than 20 years of experience in prosthetics and orthotics research, Nerrolyn has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. Her current research focuses on optimizing conditions for successful prosthetic rehabilitation, with a particilar focus on resource-limited settings. She uses both qualitative and quantitative methods to understand client needs and to implement interventions that are responsive, sustainable, and culturally appropriate. Her work emphasizes the importance of contextual factors such as access to services, perceptions of disability, and satisfaction with outcomes.
